Jeroen Doomernik is presently senior fellow at the Transatlantic Academy in Washington.
Dr. Jeroen Doomernik (1960) studied Social Anthropology at the University of Nijmegen and the University of Amsterdam. He received his PhD in 1991 upon completion of his dissertation, entitled The Rise of Turkish Islamic Institutions in the Netherlands and Germany. His main research interests are government responses towards immigration, integration policies and the interaction between the two. He serves as a co-promotor for several PhD projects on irregular migration and the regulation of labour migration. He is involved in the following projects:
