		Wim Willems Professor Social History email: W.H.Willems@uva.nl telephone: +31-20-525-2717/3627 keywords: (colonial) history, East Indies, Gypsies Prof. Dr. Wim Willems has written a number of books on immigrants and ethnic minorities, as well as edited several Dutch-language volumes on migrants from the former East Indies and colonial history. He has also written widely on the history of traveling groups, especially Gypsies and caravan-dwellers. Wim was involved in projects on the following subjects 'Gypsies and other itinerant groups, a socio-historical approach', 'The return and reception of 'Dutch repatriates’ from the Indies after the Second World War' and 'The history of Dutch migrants from the Netherlands Indies in a comparative perspective, 1945-1995'. Wim Willems has been appointed Chair of Social History at the University of Leiden, Campus The Hague (more information).
